After watching movie one can say that this movie is about cloning a real person but it does not show the scientific aspect of it , means it does not show how it is done in the lab and what the consequences are. Lets not linger about the details and concentrate on the plot and Story of the movie.
The movie start with a Pregnant woman (Rebecca) sitting alone in chair of a beach house , she remembers her love (Tom) and thanks him for giving him remembrance of their love as from of a child , Even he(Tom) has left Rebecca forever.
The movie then begins with a flashback as if Rebecca is remembering her childhood days . There is boy named Tom (Tommy ) .One day a girl named Rebecca comes for few days to her grandpa who lives alone in the neighborhood house of the Tom's. They started playing together and they start to like each other. Then Rebecca had to go to Japan with her mother as her mother got a job there.
Then movie shows Rebecca is returning from the Japan after graduating alone to see Tom (Perhaps) because they had something for each other. She finds Tom and they started to live that childhood life again.
Then there is a road accident in which Tom loses his life . Rebecca decided to conceive the cloned baby of Tom. The movie goes like this without any scientific feel. She delivers the baby and she feels happy to see Tom's childhood face in the child (Tom). The movie shows some sensual touches and kisses for her child (Tom), which was confusing for Tom sometimes.
Fast-forward , Tom grows up and she has a girlfriend now. It is painful for Rebecca ( Though Tom was born as her baby , she assumed him as her Love) But somehow she does not show this pain and confined her feelings in her self.
After seeing the real mother (not Rebecca) Tom asks who she is . Rebecca tells her everything and Tom somehow understand the situation and after that Tom and Rebecca have sex for the first time. It was something awkward both of them ( though it was not expressed by them verbally, It can be sensed from their expressions) .
In the last scene the movie shows that Tom is leaving home ( may be for good). Although he understand the he was the clone of Tom and love of Rebecca but as he lives in a society which does not accept this relationship as normal.
Verdict : The movie is OK but it does not fall in Sci-Fi . The movie has lesser characters which makes it less complex and the plot is kept simple by the makers which is lovable about this movie but I cant not give more than 6/10 for story and direction. The movie could have been made real by showing some scientific details but this movie was not intended to show this. The makers only wanted to implement the plot and hence they lost the intricate details .
